Making your booking
When does the deposit need to be paid?
When do you need to know final numbers?
We need to know the final numbers at least 3 weeks prior to the wedding day, after this your invoice for the full balance can be paid. We also need to have your seating plans 3 weeks prior to prepare the seating plan (included in the price)

What days can I get married at the Giltar Hotel?
Most couples opt for Fridays and Saturdays, however if you are considering a different day of the week, we can check availability for you.
How far in advance do I need to book?
Many couples are booking as far as 3 years in advance. As soon as you’ve chosen your wedding day/month we would advise getting in touch to check availability to avoid disappointment
Having your cermony at the hotel
Are you licensed to hold civil ceremonies at the hotel?
Yes. We are licensed to hold civil ceremonies in the upper and lower restaurant areas. The cost of room hire for a civil ceremony is included in all packages contained within the brochure. This includes the setting up of the room (to include red carpet arrival, chairs and white chair covers). You will be required to contact the Haverfordwest Registry Office (01437 775176) to confirm date and time availability for registrar. If you do not live in Pembrokeshire, you will also be required to go to your local registry office in order to be interviewed there and information is then transferred to Haverfordwest. How many people can you sit in a civil ceremony?
Up to 120
Who books the civil ceremony with the registrar?
It is the responsibility of the couple to book the registrar. Visit the Pembrokeshire County Website for full details.
What times can you have the civil ceremony?
The earliest time is 12.30pm.
Your Wedding Breakfast
What is the maximum number of guests for a wedding breakfast?
120 for a formal wedding breakfast
What is the minimum number for the packages?
Packages are available from 50-day guests. Please enquire directly for smaller/intimate weddings.
Can you cater for a more intimate wedding (less than 50 guests)?
We can build a package to suit you based on what you require on the day
Can you cater for special dietary requirements?
Yes, however we ask that you discuss this with us during the planning process and provide as much notice as possible for any special dietary requirements in order for us to accommodate.
What is included in the packages?
- Full exclusive use of function room including the basement bar and lounge for your evening celebrations
- 3 Course Wedding Breakfast (choose from a full choice of menus from each package)
- Drink on arrival (or after Civil Ceremony)
- Finest table linen including white seat covers (bows available at an additional cost)
- Menu Covers and place cards designed to couples choice with a co-ordinating Table Plan
- Use of cake stand and knife
- Complimentary Sea View Deluxe room and breakfast for the couple on their wedding night
I want to supply my own chair covers and table decorations, is this possible?
Yes, you can supply your own decorations.
Yes, children are more than welcome and are included in the minimum numbers of each package. We provide children menu options (available on request). We ask that they are included in the seating plans so that we can ensure highchairs are provided where required.
No alcoholic drinks may be brought into the hotel for consumption on the premises without prior agreement and consent. We reserve all right to charge corkage for all drinks brought onto the premises. We would prefer not to be asked for a corkage facility, but we do appreciate there may be a valid reason for this request. We would ask that you discuss this in advance and make your guests aware of the same conditions
Can you supply a wedding cake?
No, we do not supply wedding cakes. However, we do include a table for the cake and a knife to cut the cake. We can recommend wedding cake suppliers if you wish. We ask that the cake suppliers deliver the cake after 11am on the day once the room is set up and prior to the wedding breakfast to ensure it is ready in advance for when guests arrive. Alternatively, it can be delivered the day before and it can be stored at the hotel.

Is the cost of the evening function included in the package price?
The room hire cost for the evening is included in the packages.
Can I bring in my own entertainment for the evening?
Yes, however we can supply a DJ which we use regularly at the hotel at an additional cost of £300. 2All Entertainment booked for your wedding must have public liability insurance. Fireworks and smoke machines are not permitted. Music is permitted until 11.30pm. The bar will be open until 12am
Yes, this is not a problem at all as long as there is space available. We have a room to the side of the function room where many previous couples have brought in photobooths, casino tables and some have even brought in a mobile crèche to keep the children entertained
Do I have to have an evening buffet for my guests if I’m having a late wedding breakfast?
You can opt to not have an evening buffet for guests, however we wouldn’t recommend this as most guests would expect some sort of food in the evening. We can serve a buffet as late as 9.30pm and have a finger buffet and hot buffet option. Room hire charge of £500 would apply if not having a buffet.
Photographs
Can my photographer visit the venue prior to the wedding day?
Yes, they are more than welcome to visit as it will allow them to become familiar with the hotel if they’ve not photographed here before. We ask that they contact our Wedding Coordinators Malcolm or Hannah in advance in order for them to have the time and attention they need for their visit.
Where can my guests go whilst the photos are being taken?
Guests can use the function room, where the bar will be open.
Accommodation
Is there accommodation included in the packages?
The only accommodation that is included in the packages is the Deluxe room for the couple on the night of the wedding
Are there any discounts for my guests staying at the hotel?
We currently do not provide discounts for wedding guests staying the night before or on the wedding night itself.
When can my guests book their accommodation?
As soon as you’ve chosen your date and informed your guests, they can book their rooms. If tariff isn’t available a guide price is provided at the time of booking.
