Evening Dining

 

Our kitchen team pride themselves on culinary excellence.  Combined with an outstanding view over Giltar Point, South Beach and Caldey Island, a relaxed atmosphere and locally sourced menus the combination results in a fabulous dining experience.

Where possible we source as much as we can locally, often serving fish landed in the Harbour - you can't get fresher than that! 

Traditional favourites with a modern twist, really sums up evening dining at The Giltar.

Starters

  • Homemade Soup of the Day  £7

  • Giltar Prawn Cocktail served with Homemade Marie Rose Sauce & Bread  £9

  • Spicy Chicken Wings served with Blue Cheese Sauce & Salad Garnish £9

  • Homemade Chicken Liver Pate; served with toasted sour dough & an apple cider chutney  £8.50

  • Bass & Prawns; oven roasted fillet of bass served with butterflied garlic and herb prawns, butter boiled new potatoes and roasted vegetables  £22.00

  • 10oz Welsh Sirloin Steak; served with chips, roasted tomato, portobello mushroom & onion rings £24 Best served medium rare - Add brandy & peppercorn sauce or blue cheese sauce £3 extra

  • Cauliflower Steak : Lightly seasoned with aromatic spices, served with a salad garnish & chips  (Ve)  £17.00

  • Creamy Garlic Mushrooms, served on a bruschetta, salad garnish & chips   £18.00

  • Poached Citrus Salmon served with a Dill infused Hollandaise Sauce, served with New Potatoes & Vegetable Medley   £19

  • Fillet of Welsh Lamb on a Pea Puree, Gratin Potatoes, Vegetable Medley & a Rosemary & Red Wine Jus  £28.50

  • Oven Roasted Curried Halibut, served with Wild Rice, Onion Bhaji & Curry Sauce  £24

Where possible we source as much as we can locally, often serving fish landed in the Harbour - you can't get fresher than that! 

Whether its a special celebration or just a chance to put on some glad rags and enjoy a meal out, you'll find dishes at the Giltar mouth-wateringly good.  Traditional favourites with a modern twist, really sums up evening dining at The Giltar.  We must mention our customer service, silver service, served to your table.  We've won many awards for customer service - it's not fussy, just fabulous based on traditional service principles.

The bar & restaurant remain temporary closed due to Welsh Government restrictions.  During the initial phase of reopening, all meals will be served to rooms.

  • Celtic Pride Beef Lasagne, served with a salad garnish, chips and Garlic Bread £15

  • Giltar Beef Burger; 6oz handmade beef burger served in a toasted brioche bun, with lettuce, tomato, red onion, gherkin, topped with bacon and cheese and ranch dressing served with chips £15
